During the wellbeing week, various workshops are organized to give you the tools and skills to keep your wellbeing up and running from activities such as dealing with performance pressure and smart study skills to painting or singing!

Where are you?

On the mountain top of work, on the edge of the boredom swamp? Or are you on the boat on the Ocean of Possibilities? With a map in hand, we as a group and individually look at where you are at the moment, what you like and dislike about it, and what you need to change that.

Food: one of the normal daily things we do.

Precisely because we are used to it, we don't pay much attention to it.

During the interactive workshop we focus on our eating habits. What do you eat and how aware are you of that? What would you like to change? You will be inspired how you can easily take small steps to change eating habits in your daily life. You will also roll up your sleeves and prepare a simple healthy recipe yourself.

For whom?
Students who want to be inspired to eat (even) healthier (without diet).

Do you want to make a good start with your bachelor's or master's thesis or a research assignment? Then invest in making a clear research design. With a good question and a number of matching sub-questions you can
collect and analyze much more targeted information (literature and / or other research data). The research design also provides guidance during the writing of the thesis.

Urban dance is a collective name for various urban dance styles. In this workshop you will be introduced to styles such as hip hop, house, popping, tutting and break dance. After a warm-up, we will work with the basic principles of a number of styles and you will learn a short choreography. This active workshop is good for your condition and your mood!

The training focuses on increasing knowledge about stress and mental disorders, offering information on where you can go for help and support for this, and increasing the capacity for action in dealing with fellow students who experience stress and mental complaints, by learning how you can discuss this with your fellow student.

Participants learn everything about stress and other psychological complaints. At the end of this training they have answers to the following questions: What is stress and which other psychological complaints are common? How does it work and what forms and degrees are there? How do you recognize stress and other psychological complaints in others? How do you enter into a discussion about this and where can you go for help / support?

Stress! Something we're all familiar with yet all experience differently. In this workshop we would like to discover with you the things that bring you stress, but to also look at the things that make you happy and feel good. The aim for this workshop is to bring awareness about both of these aspects of wellbeing. To achieve this we will discuss what we experience in our lives but also what we experience in the here and now. Through mindfulness exercises, sharing and learning about the background of stress we aim to bring you more insight in your own wellbeing. Our focus lies on three different pillars: Eating, sleeping and exercise. In small groups we'll discuss our struggles, tips and tricks on how to work on your own wellbeing. Through mindfulness we'll try to achieve a more nonjudgmental state of mind and more awareness of our inner state. We hope to see you there!

Logic takes you from A to B, imagination takes you everywhere ”(Einstein).

With a short starting assignment we give you, you will find that shapes appear on your drawing board. You place the shapes through the story being told. Then you respond to what you see appearing on the painting. Out of your head, in the moment. While painting you learn to connect the forms, so that your painting tells you a new story!

Do you suffer from stress due to your studies, pressure from social media or the feeling that you have to meet the ideal picture? Would you like to feel good about yourself, study in a relaxed way and enjoy fun things?

Then walk with me, Daniëlle, former Social Geography student, and discover how nature gives you peace. From her own experience she knows what it's like to experience pressure, to feel tired and how to get moving again.

After she quit her job, she went outside: walking. She herself has experienced how refreshing nature is, relaxes, gives new energy and ideas. She likes to let you experience that too. Many studies have already shown the value of nature. With a walk of more than 20 minutes your stress hormones decrease and the relaxation increases.

Together with and in nature we do exercises that provide insight. She uses images from the environment. You also get tools that you can use at home to relax and do the things that you enjoy doing.

Do you want to study more effectively with (personalized) feedback? Take part in this workshop and become an ''early bird'' of the THERMOS feedback instrument.

How can you study efficiently? The THERMOS feedback instrument provides insight and tips with regard to your study behavior and experience.

In this workshop you will learn to work with the first test version of the THERMOS feedback instrument and you will have the opportunity to participate in a more extensive test version with more feedback and help from the new academic year. You also contribute to improving the feedback in this first trial version.

A donkey, paint, palette and brushes are waiting for you in the studio. To begin a paiting is always difficult. But not now, because we have already started. On every easel there is a painting sheet that is already "drawn" with a number of shapes and lines. Which shape do you choose? You can add or paint something away. Will it become a tree, an animal, will a landscape appear or will you keep it abstract? You respond with your own colors and will be surprised by the end result!

You spend quite some time in your studies. Yet the results are disappointing. You go through the material too slowly or have the feeling that little or nothing lingers. Do you recognize yourself in this?

Making music is having fun! You make music with your feeling. Teacher Amara Diabate radiates this during his lessons and performances. In this workshop you learn to make music on the djembe, a wooden African drum. You learn as a group to play together with different traditional rhythms from Guinea. The teacher adjusts his lessons to the level of the students, so you do not have to have experience for this workshop. Everyone is welcome!

You feel tired, anxious, discouraged, maybe even isolated, angry, and homesick but cannot think of any reason why you should feel that way. You wonder what could be causing them. It could be culture stress. You may say, I know about culture shock, but what is culture stress? What is the difference between culture stress and culture shock?  What causes culture stress? What are its effects? What can be done about it? Can it be prevented?  Let's consider some of these questions and raise awareness and tips on how to deal with it in this workshop. Hoopdance is dancing with a hoop to music. In this workshop you will learn a number of hoop dance movements, starting with hoops around your waist. You also learn to tune your movements to the music. Hoopdance gives a lot of pleasure, it is a great way to relax and it is also good for your figure! Well-known stars like Beyoncé also use the hoop to stay in shape. We bet you will come out with a big smile?

"I do not sing because I am happy, I am happy because I sing"
Many people are convinced that they cannot sing. But you don't have to be a singer to express yourself singing. You can also give your unique sound free space in the car or in the shower. You may have noticed that young children often sing a little by themselves. And in primitive peoples it is perfectly normal for everyone to sing together. Singing has also traditionally been used as a connecting and healing instrument.

It has been scientifically proven that singing is healthy for your body and state of mind.

It increases your concentration and strengthens your immune system. It is also nice that singing produces the 'hug hormone' oxytocin and the happiness hormone serotonin. Promoting relaxation and happy feelings.

Voice reduction is singing what lives in you.

Through your breath, meditation, exercise, sounds and singing, I guide you towards feeling and expressing yourself.

During the workshop, I will introduce you to voice voting.
With simple meditative and body-oriented exercises I guide you to your singing voice.

Making you heard and being heard, knowing yourself with everything you are, being able to follow your own movement in every moment, discovering your unique voice, that is what I invite.

Originally a health scientist, life steered me in the direction of creativity, spirituality and awareness. It is a wonderful and liberating adventure that has brought me a lot of growth and healing in my personal and professional development.

For years I attended sessions and workshops with Jan Kortie, www.jankortie.nl, after which it was obvious to follow the vocal training course with him (2006-2008). I have been guiding adults and children since 2005, when I founded Atelier La Luna with Healing Drawing.

Between 2010 and 2014 I followed the intensive international Soul Voice® training, which focuses on the healing power of the voice. I combine voice liberation with bodywork, meditation and systemic work.

I shape my activities with love and passion and in a safe environment.

Welcome to the Troost & Proost Tafel!

Experience what it is like to talk about your vulnerabilities and identify with each other while you are preparing a meal together. Stories can be shared during dinner and afterwards we toast (the lusts and burdens of) Life. 

Finally, share telephone numbers with whom you want to talk further and thus create your own safety net.

Afterwards you have not only cooked and eaten nicely; you have also strengthened your well-being!
