Where can I find the status of my registration?
Registration opens on 1 May 2018. You need a correct registration in order to book on the booking date that applies to you. You can check the status of your registration if you log into your SSH Short Stay account and select My Information / Change Personal Information / My Registrations.
- Status 'For Approval': your registration still needs to be checked by your Faculty of Studies
- Status 'Approved': Your registration has been checked by your Faculty of Studies and is correct. You will receive a message from SSH with more information and the booking date that applies to you
- Status 'Not Approved': Your registration has been checked by your faculty and is incorrect. You will receive an e-mail with more information on why your registration has not been approved
Do I receive a refund if I cancel my reservation with SSH Summer Accommodations?
The down payment is only partially refundable, and only when you are not accepted by Utrecht University to the programme you have applied for and cancel before commencement of the rental period. The reservation fee is non-refundable. You can find more information about the cancellation policy in the Terms and Conditions that apply to the rental contract via this link to the SSH Website.
If I find accommodation during my summer contract can I cancel the rental agreement?
Unfortunately, cancellation after commencement of the rental period is not permitted.
Can I rent SSH Summer Accommodation for longer or shorter?
This is not possible. SSH Summer Accommodations are only available for fixed rental periods of July and August 2018.
Does SSH offer Summer Accommodations to couples or families?
SSH not offer accommodation for students who bring their spouse, partner or family. Also, room sharing is not possible. If you are looking for accommodation that is suitable for a family, please read our tips and tricks that can help you find accommodation on your own.
Will Utrecht University find me a room for after my summer stay?
No, you will have to continue your search for accommodation on your own during your stay in SSH Summer Accommodation. Although Utrecht University cannot find you a room, we do aim to help and inform you best we can. Follow this link for tips, tricks and important things to keep in mind during your search. What if I have not found alternative accommodation by the end of my SSH Summer Accommodations contract?
Unfortunately, even if you have not found a room by the end of the contract, it is not possible to extend your stay beyond August 2018. This means that you will have to make alternative arrangements in time from where you can continue your search. Follow this link for more information on temporary housing.
