Major compulsory courses

The compulsory courses (the MBLS foundation courses) teach Molecular Life Sciences from four different perspectives; Biology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical sciences, and Physics. In the foundation courses you also develop skills in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Programming and Academic writing. Please refer to the MBLS major course overview above to see how these are placed in the curriculum.
Passing all foundation courses (major compulsory courses, 75 EC) should in principle provide sufficient pre-knowledge to allow you to choose any major bound elective course linked to one of the four profiles (see submenu major bound electives). You need to pass a minimum 45 ECs in your first year to receive a positive study advise (see Binding Study Advise section on this page) to proceed to the second year.
