TWIN programme Exp. Physics and Nano
Experimental Physics and Nanomaterials Science have defined a joint TWIN master’s programme, where you study for 180 EC over 3 years. The default programme consists of:

Variations are possible, for example, where the internship is replaced with a GSNS profile or is (partially) replaced with secondary electives.

You have to follow these courses to complete the programme.
Primary electives
Some courses can count as a Primary elective for either Nanomaterials Science or Experimental Physics.
Exp. Physics:
You are required to take 15 EC from one of the tracks and 7.5 EC from another. The tracks are Particles & Gravity, Quantum Matter & Nanophotonics, Soft Matter & Biophysics and the associated courses are listed below. Some courses are primary electives, but are not officially part of a track. The final 15 EC of primary electives can be selected from any of the courses listed below.
Nanomaterials Science:
Choose 22.5 EC worth of electives from the list of primary electives in the drop-down below.
Research Project
You will do a large Research Project in your second year, and a small course that teaches you the foundations of open science. As a part of your research training, you will do a literature study to familiarize yourself with the subject and enhance your academic skills by regularly attending various seminars. The project concludes with a written thesis and an oral presentation.
Secondary electives
The secondary electives are meant to broaden your interests and skills.
