Test deregistration and supplementary test (resit)
This page contains the steps to deregister for a test. It is important that you cancel the test in time (as soon as possible in your case).
Do you want to deregister for another compulsory component of your course? Please report this to the course coordinator. If you are absent for a longer period of time, you should also report this to your study advisor.
Deregister for a test
I want to deregister for a regular test-moment
Are you ill or experiencing circumstances beyond your control during a regular test of a course? Then deregister in advance using the steps below.
This deregistration gives no guarantee to an invite for the supplementary test (resit). That depends, among other things, on the best efforts obligation and the requirements of the course that you must fulfil in order to successfully complete the course.
Please note: the steps below only apply to all courses taught within the Faculty of Science.
When are you eligible for a supplementary test?
You are eligible for the supplementary test if you:
- have fulfilled all best efforts obligations during the course and
- when you satisfy one of the following requirements:
- have obtained a failing final grade of at least 4 for a course or
- have deregistered for a test due to illness or force majeure in accordance with the procedure above.
Please note:
- If you miss the supplementary test, you are in principle not entitled to a new chance.
- If you were absent from the regular test-moment and you obtain a failing final grade for the course after the supplementary test, you are in principle not entitled to a new chance.
