Reporting (prolonged) illness
You may not be able to attend an exam, lecture or working group due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances beyond your control (force majeure). It is also possible that you cannot, for example, hand in a paper on time. On this page, you can read more about reporting (prolonged) illness.
- Are you ill or experiencing circumstances beyond your control during a regular test of a course? Then deregister in advance. Click on the button below to read more about this.
- In case you miss another compulsory course component due to force majeure you must inform the course coordinator as soon as can be expected. In case you are not able to continue your studies for a longer period of time, please inform your Study Advisor.
Consequences
If you have missed mandatory components, you may no longer meet the attendance or best efforts obligation. The general rule for courses is: you are there and you participate; that is the minimum effort expected of you. Further obligations of a course regarding attendance and effort can be found in Osiris and/or the course manual.
Special provision
Are obligations difficult because you are chronically ill, have a disability or top-level sports status, for example? Then contact the study advisor to see if you can get a special provision.
If you are unable to study for a longer period of time, it may sometimes be advisable to stop your studies temporarily. Consult your Study Advisor to discuss your options.
