Thesis Project
In the Thesis Project, the student carries out a project under the supervision of a staff member of the research groups offering the Applied Data Science Master’s programme.
Set-up Thesis Project
The Thesis Project constitutes the final component of your programme. The thesis procedure can be largely divided into three phases: Phase 1 – Setup, Phase 2 – Thesis project and Phase 3 – Wrap up.
Thesis projects can be submitted by ADS staff and external organisations, all projects are reviewed and approved by the ADS Thesis coordinator. Students cannot submit projects.
How long does the Thesis Project take?
It is credited with 14 EC (~400 hours of workload). Which means a duration of ten weeks. The thesis projects span period four (April through June) and need to be handed in one week after period four ends, unless agreed otherwise with your examiners.
Information for external organisations
The ADS Thesis Project can be completed at an external organisation. You can find more information about external projects in this pdf. Also keep in mind the instructions in the drop-down below.
*Going abroad for ADS Thesis Projects is not recommended.
