Courses

The curriculum in the master's programme Applied Data Science consists of the following parts:

  • a mandatory multidisciplinary course (14 EC), that gives an overview of the tools and skills to use and evaluate data science methods. The course is designed to provide a variety of techniques that can be used across different science and business applications.
  • a mandatory colloquium series (2 EC)
  • a selection of four elective courses (30 EC) from the list of pre-approved elective courses.
  • a mandatory research project (14 EC). The thesis is the sum of the entire master’s education: demonstrate the ability of the student to formulate, conduct and present research. The topics span multiple application domains. It also creates opportunities to collaborate with external partners.

For elective courses, you will not register through OSIRIS . You will be asked to to use a Pre-Enrolment form. Details will be provided during Introduction Days by the programme coordinator.
