Partnership-programme Student Psychologists and Clinical Psychology Department
Utrecht University's student psychologists work closely with the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences. Students enrolled in the Clinical Psychology master’s programme are involved in the services offered by the student psychologists. International (non-Dutch speaking) students are involved in the intake (initial assessment) procedure.
If you would rather not take part in this partnership-programme, but would prefer to visit a student psychologist directly, you can book an appointment here.
What does the partnership-programme mean for you?
The intake appointment will be conducted by a clinical psychologist in training (an intern), under the supervision of a certified clinical psychologist.
Together, the intern and the supervisor will write a recommendation for treatment. This recommendation will then be submitted to one of the student psychologists, who will subsequently provide you with a series of one-to-one appointments.
Our student psychologists may also refer you for further, or additional, treatment outside the university.
How to make an appointment?
The cost of an intake appointment is 25 euros. After this initial appointment, any further appointments are free of charge. We accept payment through Ideal, Paypal or creditcard. Please note: the fee is non-refundable, unless there is a valid reason for cancellation. If you do have to cancel your appointment, please send an email to SPUUinternational@uu.nl, preferably at least 24 hours in advance.
No data available?
Sometimes there are no open slots for intake appointments. We try to make new slots available every week, so make sure to check our website regularly.
In case of emergency we strongly advise you to contact your general practitioner. Your GP usually has time to see you at short notice.
