Language of instruction


Housing assistance

SSE Riga does not provide dormitories for exchange students. Most convenient way for exchange students is to rent a flat/room with other exchange or SSE Riga students nearby the School. It may cost from EUR 350 per person per month. The flat can be found either before arrival or you can book a place in the hostel (for example for the first week and than look for an accommodation upon arrival.  . 


Estimated living costs per month

The cost of studying in Riga, are cheaper in comparison to the Netherlands. The approximate costs per month are €400. Accommodation costs are €80. And costs of living including transport are estimated to be €190, books, photocopying, etc is €15. Additionally there is a compulsory payment for the printouts and the handouts for one semester that is about €110. Overall monthly expenditures while living in Riga are about 400 EUR.




English language profiency: C1 or higher on the CEFR scale. If student proficiency level appears to be lower than expected, SSE Riga reserves the right to administer its own test upon arrival. If the results are unsatisfactory, students will be requested to take intensive English course
