Student card

All students enrolled at UU receive a digital student card. You can find your card in the MyUU app. Your student card shows which programme and period you are enrolled in.

When do I get my student card?

You will receive your student card when your (re)enrolment is successful. That is:

  • you have made a (re)enrolment request;
  • you meet all admission and enrolment requirements;
  • the payment of your tuition fees has been arranged.

Once everything is in order, you will receive a confirmation email from the Central Student Administration within a week that you are officially enrolled and your student card is ready. Keep a close eye on your email address and spam folder. You will no longer receive physical mail!

When do I need my student card?

You will need your student card to show that you are enrolled at UU, for example:

  • when you visit the university;
  • with other institutions (e.g. DUO);
  • when using university facilities.

If you are asked for your student card, you can show the MyUU app. In addition to your student card, you may always be asked for valid proof of identity (ID card or passport). For example, at examinations.
