Ideology

If you are religious, you may need information about quiet rooms for prayer, or you may be curious about what happens if your exam falls on an important religious holiday. You can find information about this on this page.

Religious holidays

The university calendar only includes holidays that have been designated as national holidays by the central government. It is possible that you celebrate a holiday that is not included here. In some cases, you may be eligible for compensation, for example by taking your exam or practical at another time. Contact your lecturer or study advisor in good time to discuss what is possible in your situation. Dress code

Dress code

The Executive Board has adopted the following position in the discussions on face veils (chador, niqab): face-covering garments and/or attributes are not permitted in educational situations within the university because communication (in which facial expressions play an essential role) is essential in university education.

Quiet rooms

The university has quiet rooms to pray. Some university buildings offer spaces for rest and reflection.
