Saving and sharing files

As a student, you can easily share files with fellow students and lecturers using applications such as OneDrive and SURFfilesender. Make sure you store local files on your laptop securely (using a password or encryption) and create regular backups.

OneDrive

All employees and students can use OneDrive free of charge. You have 100 GB of storage. This is part of Office 365.

SURFfilesender

With SURFfilesender you can send files to anyone, including people outside Utrecht University and organizations that are not affiliated with SURF. If someone wants to send you files, you can send a 'voucher' as a SURFfilesender user.
