Emergency response teams and disaster prevention

Company emergency officers help to increase safety at Utrecht University. An in-house emergency response worker is someone trained to provide assistance in dangerous situations. The university has established policies in the ‘Organisation of the emergency response teams’ regulation (in Dutch).

What does it involve?

The implementation of OH&S tasks is organised per faculty or service under the leadership of a head of OH&S. In addition, an attack and evacuation plan has been drawn up for each building and there is a specific guide for in-house emergency response for hazardous substances (in Dutch).

Emergency

Is there an emergency such as fire, a (medical) accident, or an accident with hazardous substances, for example? Do you need urgent assistance? Or do you see something suspicious? Always call the Control Room, which can be reached at +31 30 253 44 44.
