Agencies, platforms and current availability
On this page you can find more information on current offers via the Reserved Accommodation Programme, and links to agencies and platforms that offer options via the private housing market. Finding a place to stay is very important because you need a legal residence in the Netherlands in order to register with the municipality and obtain a BSN. This generally required to be able to register with a general practitioner and also to be able to participate in the Dutch covid-19 vaccination programme.
Current availability
There is currently no substantial availability. If you started or will start your studies in the current academic year (2021-2022) and are eligible for the Reserved Accommodation Programme, we advise you to check the reservation portals of the housing providers of the Reserved Accommodation Programme regularly to see if there are any offers available due to a cancellation.
Agencies, platforms and housing providers
The largest share of student housing in Utrecht is provided by private home owners. Most housing offers are posted on housing platforms by current tenants, landlords and agencies. The available offers and the housing advertised on the platforms and pages linked to below is not checked by Utrecht University. You must come to an agreement in direct contact with the housing provider without interference of Utrecht University.
Note that there are different types of fees an agency or platform may ask you to pay when you are searching for housing. For more information on the different fees and costs please follow this link.
