Trimester 

Imperial College London has 3 terms: 

  • Autumn Term: October - December 
  • Spring Term: January - March 
  • Summer Term: April - June 

Exams are held in Term 3, so in case you would go on exchange in Term 1 (Autumn), a return to London in required for the exam period.

Classes

Classes are normally held between the hours of 09:00 and 17:50 except on Wednesdays. Wednesday afternoons will remain free from teaching and education activities from 12:00 onwards

Requirements

Students need to provide a statement regarding their English language proficiency. This can be proven by either:

  • a qualification or proficiency test listed (with at least the minimum grade stipulated) at: https://www.imperial.ac.uk/study/ug/apply/requirements/english/
  • or to have undertaken an English test at their university (equating their proficiency to at least level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) in the 12-month period prior to the application deadline of the host university.
