Where do I have classes?
The following buildings are the main buildings of the Faculty of Humanities, but you might have classes at other locations. The buildings are categorized as follows:
- City Center: Drift, Janskerkhof 15A, Kromme Nieuwegracht 80
- Israëlslaan
- ICU: Descartes, Spinoza, Newton, Locke
- Science Park: Daltonlaan, Bolognalaan, Educatorium
The University Library (UB) (Drift 27), Study Point (Drift 10), and several other educational locations are situated on the Drift. The buildings at Drift 21, 23, and 25 can be accessed via Drift 27.

What do I need to know about enrolling in courses?
Registration
As a first-year Master's student, you are automatically enrolled in the courses for semester 1. For semester 2, you will do this yourself in Osiris during the designated registration periods.

- Studium Generale: free academic knowledge in the form of lectures, talk shows and other events.
- Olympos: sports centre with a wide range of sports and fitness activities. Your OlymPas entitles you to a discount on sports and fitness fees.
- Parnassos: cultural centre that offers a wide range of courses, productions and workshops.
Who can I contact?
- Student Information Desk: course registrations, grades, study progress and graduation.
- Programme Coordinator: advises on all content and practical matters concerning your Master’s.
- Study Advisor: questions about your study programme, studying with a disability, and personal issues affecting your studies.
- Lecturer: questions about assignments, grades, and evaluations.
- International Office: guidance on exchange and courses or research abroad.
- Board of Examiners: granting exemptions, additional retakes, and approving credits earned outside UU.
- Curriculum Committee: advises the programme on the quality of education in the interest of the students.

Which digital tools do I need?
- Solis-id: your user name for university services, that corresponds to your student number.
- 2FA: UU secures data using two-factor authentication (2FA). You need three things to log in using 2FA: your Solid-id and password, and your smartphone or tablet.
- Wifi: Utrecht University, log in using your e-mail address and Solid-id password.
- Printing: use any card with an RFID chip (e.g. your OV chip card), top up your print credit via myprintportal.
- MyUU app: mobile app with your grades, student card, library card and personal timetable.
- MyTimetable: allows you to view your timetable on desktop.
- Osiris Student: for course registration, course descriptions, grades and study progress.
- CoursePlanner: to plan your studies and view which courses you still need or may take.
- Brightspace: learning environment for submitting assignments, finding course materials and information about courses.
- Outlook: you will receive important information from lecturers and the university on your UU email address.
- SolisWorkspace: provides applications that may come in handy during courses.
