Work on Bolognalaan and connection to Zandlaan

There will be a new bicycle connection between Bolognalaan and Zandlaan, where there is currently an agricultural path.

The new bike path will be a combined bike path where agricultural vehicles may also travel. From 9 October the province of Utrecht will start preparations for the work. If everything goes according to plan, the redesign will be completed in December 2023.

What will you notice?

From Monday 6 November to Sunday 3 December cyclists will be diverted. In the last week, between 27 November and 3 December, car traffic will be diverted via Cambridgelaan. The diversion will be indicated by temporary traffic signs.

What will happen?

• A new bridge will be installed connecting Zandlaan to Bolognalaan.
• The bike path on Bolognalaan from Yalelaan will be asphalted and connected to the new bike path.
• Around the Fort near Rhijnauwen more greenery will be created to make the route attractive and to reduce parking at this location.
