With a discount to FC Utrecht – NEC in stadium Galgenwaard

On Friday 16 September, students of our university can attend the FC Utrecht – NEC match with a discount. The discount is offered to celebrate the collaboration of Utrecht University with the Utrecht premier league  club.

This cooperation will be formally confirmed on Friday 16 September. FC Utrecht director, Thijs van Es, and dean prof.dr. Janneke Plantenga of REBO sign an agreement for a new research programme. Prof.dr. Frank van Eekeren, professor of sports & society, is the UU project leader.

Utrecht University and FC Utrecht will, among other things, develop a 'Utrecht model' for 'team and community building', which organizations within and outside the sport can use. In addition, both organizations want to work together with other regional players, including the UMC Utrecht, under the banner of Traiectum Sportcampus Utrecht on the involvement, fitness and inclusiveness of the Utrecht population.
