Wanted: Student member UTQ committee
Utrecht University promotes and ensures the quality of teaching through the University Teaching Qualification (UTQ) and the Senior Teaching Qualification (STQ). All permanent lecturers must obtain the UTQ. The UTQ Committee of the LEG Faculty implements this policy. It assesses development plans and portfolios and conducts monthly interviews with candidates (approximately three at a time).
The committee consists of three members from different departments, a student member and an educationalist, supported by a permanent secretary. We are looking for a student member for the UTQ committee to start on 1 September 2026.
Your responsibilities:
- Together with other members, you will be responsible for assessing candidates’ UTQ portfolios;
- The UTQ committee meets approximately one morning per month (always on a Wednesday);
- The meeting is briefly discussed (online) two weeks in advance;
- As portfolios may be written in Dutch, you must be able to speak and read Dutch.
Remuneration:
Student members receive an annual remuneration of around 700 euros for their membership.
