Wanted: enthusiastic junior web editor for Security in Open Societies (8-12 hours per week)
Are you a strong communicator, detail-oriented, and independent? Do you have an affinity for social sciences and humanities? Then we are looking for you as a temporary student assistant from March to June 2024!
Tasks
- Writing texts based on existing ones
- Posting new content
- Updating existing content
- Editing texts
- Translating texts from Dutch to English or vice versa (using a translation tool)
You can flexibly schedule your hours (8-12 hours per week, 0.2-0.3 FTE) and you work closely with the team of Security in Open Societies. Read more about this institution on their webpage.
Profile
You are:
- Editorially strong in Dutch and English
- Detail-oriented and independent
- Good at distinguishing main and side issues
- Flexible enough to change your schedule if necessary
- Skilled at converting complex scientific texts into information for a broader audience
- Knowledge of social sciences and humanities topics is a plus
- Creative
- A proactive colleague
Offer
- 8-12 hours per week (0.2-0.3 FTE)
- A salary ranging from a minimum of €2618 to a maximum of €2846 for a full-time position (salary scale SA of the Dutch Universities Collective Labor Agreement)
- 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%

Naturally, you enjoy maintaining websites. Learning new systems is not a problem for you, and preferably, you already have knowledge and experience with Drupal. Basic knowledge of HTML is a plus.
The position is for a three-month period and preferably starts on March 1, 2024.
