UU student Elvire Landstra wins award at Student Research Conference 2018

On 9 November students of various Dutch and Flemish universities and Dutch universities of applied sciences presented their bachelor research at the Student Research Conference 2018. Elvire Landstra (UU) won the Research Award in the category Humanities & Law with the presentation of her paper Bringer of Death: Explaining the Severity of the Black Death in Medieval England. Congratulations to Elvire and well done all nominees!

The conference took place at Leiden University College in The Hague. Preselected students presented their work during the conference. There was a People's Choice Award for the best poster presentation and an award for a workshop in each category. Also, a jury of professors awarded a research prize in each category. Among the jury members were UU professors Rob van der Vaart and Henk Stoof. All the presenting students have the opportunity to publish in the e-journal SURE!.
