Utrecht University has decided to extend the catering contract with Sodexo with three years until the middle of 2020. Recently, Sodexo has shown on different locations within the university that it can link up well with the wishes of the clients. For example, with sustainable lunches for meetings and short-term food concepts in the restaurants.
The extension will be used to carry out a couple of mutual improvements. Subjects that will be tackled are working with short-term food concepts, making the food on offer more sustainable, cooperating with regional suppliers, starting a pilot for biodegradable disposables and electric transport.
