Utrecht Science Park is looking for Community Builders

Utrecht Science Park is looking for residents who want to contribute as Community Builders. Do you have the energy and creativity to bring residents together, organize activities, help shape a central meeting space, and bring the area to life? Then we are looking for you!

The quality of life at Utrecht Science Park, especially among residents, has been a topic of discussion for some time. In May last year, the residents’ boards at Utrecht Science Park took the lead in finding solutions to improve livability. Residents and relevant Utrecht Science Park partners on this theme joined forces and created an action plan for a better situation. This plan included several proposals. One of them is the creation of a central meeting space at Utrecht Science Park, in which Community Builders will play a key role; they will help set up and manage this space.

What does a Community Builder do?

As a Community Builder, you will use your energy and creativity to bring residents together, organize activities, and further enliven Utrecht Science Park. Together with the Community Builders team, you will work on a central meeting space at Utrecht Science Park and act as a point of contact for fellow residents and neighborhood partners. This role requires about 6 hours per week and we are looking for candidates that can fulfill this role for at least 1,5 years.

Who is eligible? 

Community Builders will be recruited from among the residents of Utrecht Science Park—one from each residential complex. You will receive guidance from Academie van de Stad and Utrecht Science Park partners (Utrecht University, Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, Municipality of Utrecht, SSH, Residents’ Boards, and the Utrecht Science Park Foundation).
