Access to the University Library City Centre and the adjoining Drift buildings (Drift 21, 23 and 25) has been temporarily modified: from 14.00 onwards, you can only enter via the main entrance and with an identity card or student card.

The measures will take effect on 11 November 2019 and are temporary for the time being. The amended access policy will apply from 2 p.m. onwards. From that moment on

  • access via the bicycle shed, the forecourt, the bicycle shed Keizersstraat will be closed off. Everyone is requested to use the main entrance.
  • you may only enter the library and Drift buildings on presentation of a valid proof of identity or student card. This was already common practice during the evening hours.

There is no change in access before 14.00.

Inconvenience from groups of young people

The reason for the measures are groups of young people that have been causing great inconvenience in the UBB and Drift buildings for some time now. Because previous measures have so far had insufficient effect, we feel compelled to proceed with the above measures. We apologize for the inconvenience.
