Do you want to investigate complex social problems with students and professionals from different disciplines? Do you like to think about sustainability issues, food issues, or issues surrounding migration and human rights? Then participate in one of the four Thematic Interdisciplinary Challenges!
The Thematic Interdisciplinary Challenge (TIC) is a 7.5 ECT elective course for third-year Bachelor students, Master students and professionals from different disciplines. The course promotes interdisciplinary and cross-level cooperation and solves societal challenges within Utrecht University's four strategic themes.
There are four Thematic Interdisciplinary Challenges (TICs), linked to the strategic themes within the university. These are the themes and challenges:
The course offers a mix of (guest) lectures, interviews, workshops and discussions. Interdisciplinary groups of 4-5 students and professionals apply their theoretical knowledge to solve real societal issues.
