Study delay caused by circumstances beyond your control

In certain cases, Utrecht University can provide compensation to (international) students who have fallen behind schedule in their studies, due to circumstances beyond their control. This could be, for example: (chronic) illness, exceptional family circumstances, pregnancy, or disability. We refer to this compensation as graduation support.

Submitting a digital application for 2023-2024 is possible from 1 October 2024 up to and including 31 January 2025. It is not possible to apply for graduation support for previous academic years. More information can be found at: www.uu.nl/students/financialsupport.
