Job Description

For the NWO-funded research project Getting to the CoRe: a Communicative Receptive approach to language learning and mutual understanding in multilingual academic contextswe are looking for a student assistant. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the research team with data collection. This includes gathering, organizing, and uploading audio and video recordings of classroom conversations and interviews. You may also be able to use this data for thesis and/or internship research.

Depending on your interests and expertise, you will also have the opportunity to perform other tasks. For example, you could assist in organizing workshops or even conduct interviews yourself.

Requirements

  • You are enrolled at Utrecht University; preferably in the master’s phase.
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills, both in Dutch (C2) and English (C1).
  • You are able to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary research team.
  • You are capable of coordinating your own work and can work independently and precisely.

Employment Conditions

You can start immediately as a student assistant and earn a salary according to the student assistant pay scale at the master’s level. If you are seeking an internship or thesis project, we are open to discussing the conditions. Our preference is for a student who can begin immediately as a student assistant and later continue with an internship or thesis project.
