Running against cancer during the Utrecht Marathon

On Sunday 12 May 2019 the 38th edition of the renewed Utrecht Marathon powered by Utrecht Science Park will take place. The Utrecht Marathon supports a good cause every year. This year that is KWF Kankerbestrijding (the Dutch Cancer Society).

Full marathon distance in a single lap

The Marathon will kick off at 09:00. Runners will cover the full distance (42.195 km) by following a brand new circuit consisting of a single lap. The circuit links various old and new parts of Utrecht. This combination of running through parks, modern areas such as Leidsche Rijn and the old city centre will ensure a unique running experience. The circuits for the half marathon (21.1 km), quarter marathon (10.55 km) and mini marathon (around 1.5 km) are also completely new. For more information about the circuits and the event itself, visit the Utrecht Marathon website.

Running against cancer

Give your run extra meaning by raising money for groundbreaking cancer research. Unfortunately, this is desperately needed, because still 1 in 3 people in the Netherlands is diagnosed with cancer. The money that is collected during the Utrecht Marathon will go to child cancer research at the Princess Máxima Center.

Your own fundraiser page allows you to raise funds very easily. You’ll create one in no time and you can share your page with friends, family, colleagues, every one you could possibly know. Do you raise 500 euros or more? Then you will be rewarded with a unique Run against cancer t-shirt.

Run against cancer and start raising money today. Register here if you already have an entry ticket. No entry ticket yet? Then sign up here.
