Relocation of 9 study associations from Drift 21 to Kromme Nieuwegracht 80

On Friday 10 and Saturday 11 May, nine student associations from the Faculty of the Humanities will be moving from Drift 21 to Kromme Nieuwegracht 80. These associations include Aladdin, Albion, Art, Awater, Babel, Cs Ubuntu, FUF, Incognito en UHSK.

In the past few months, the 2nd floor of Kromme Nieuwegracht 80 has been prepared for housing. The walls have been repaired, lighting has been renewed and the floors were thoroughly cleaned. Additionally, new ICT connections have been installed. The associations will be housed at Kromme Nieuwegracht 80 for at least three years.

The renovation on Drift 21 will start in summer 2024. The building will become more sustainable thanks to modifications to the interior, air treatment and insulation. From September 2024 to January 2025, Drift 21 will be open for education. From February 2025, it will be unavailable for about two years. The associations will move back once the renovation is completed.
