On Sunday 19 April 2020, marathon madness will take over Utrecht. On that day, Utrecht Science Park will be the beating heart of the Utrecht Marathon powered by Utrecht Science Park. This year, participants will once again wind their way through parks, along the authentic canals and through the old city centre.
Distances for everyone: one single lap marathon
The various old and new districts of Utrecht are connected to each other by the Marathon circuit (42.195 km). The combination of running through parks, districts such as Leidsche Rijn and the old city centre will ensure a unique running experience. Music along the circuit turn the Utrecht Marathon into a truly atmospheric Utrecht event. Also this year you can start as a participant in the Half Marathon (21.1 km), Quarter Marathon (10.55 km) and Mini Marathon (± 1.5 km). Everyone can enjoy a drink, bite to eat and music at the food square in Utrecht Science Park. For more information about the circuits and the event itself, visit the Utrecht Marathon website (only available in Dutch).

Dutch Cancer Society
The Utrecht Marathon also supports the Dutch Cancer Society (KWF) in 2020. Less cancer, more healing and a better quality of life for cancer patients. That is the goal of KWF. You can also register through KWF Kankerbestrijding, the Dutch Cancer Society. If you raise €500 in sponsorship money, the Society will reward you with a free starting permit. After registering, you will have your own promotion page. This makes fundraising easier than you think! Are you unexpectedly unable to raise €500? Then you can still buy a starting permit via the Utrecht Marathon. You will be there anyway!
