Ramadan 2026: extra quiet rooms and iftar

Ramadan is likely to take place from 17 February to 19 March. This is the period during which Muslims worldwide fast from sunrise to sunset.

Quite rooms

During this period, two extra quiet rooms have been temporarily reserved for prayer in the Marinus Ruppert Building: 1.38 and 1.39. Room 0.34a will also remain available.

Iftar

On Wednesday 11 March, students and staff (Muslim and non-Muslim) can participate in the iftar: a communal meal immediately after sunset. This will be preceded by a dialogue session about Ramadan in the western world. You will be able to register for this soon.
