Public transport strike from Wednesday 27 June onwards

Openbaar Vervoer

Members of the public transport trade union FNV Streekvervoer have decided to resume striking next Wednesday. The strike is a national one, which means that, generally speaking, all bus and tram services will not be operating. The regional train services will also not be operating. As yet, how long the strike will last has not been specified.

However, during the last strike in May, some of the line 28 buses to UMC Utrecht were in service. Whether this will be the case this time is not yet known. Please consult the U-OV website for public transport around Utrecht for the latest news.

Despite the strike, examinations will be taking place as usual. Please take longer travel times into account and try to arrange alternative transport.
