New application deadline for UU-NIOZ Student Work Experience 2020

The NIOZ Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research and Utrecht University are offering ten two-month paid Student Work Experiences. The aim is to expose excellent UU students to marine science. There are several projects that students can work on, which are described here.


To apply, you must be a BSc or MSc student at Utrecht University. There are no EC awarded for participation in the project. You must fulfill the job requirements when these are mentioned for a specific project. You must submit your application before February 15, 2020 to both the supervisor of the specific work placement project you are interested in and to NIOZ education coordinator Dörte Poszig . ​-A motivation letter
​-Your first and second project of choice
​-Your c.v.

Working hours and payment

Students will work for at least 1 day a week and a maximum of 5 working days per week for a total maximum of 320 hours. Students will be paid between € 1,686 and €2,001 gross per month, which is dependent on the amount of hours worked by students.
