Movies & Science: In the Line of Fire

Although they might seem irreconcilable, freedom and violence go hand in hand. Violence is oppressive, but in the battle for freedom you cannot stand on the sidelines or shirk from a fight.

Utrecht University’s ‘Studium Generale’ examines through the films in the series ‘In the Line of Fire’ the link between freedom and violence.

  • Monday 3 October 2016, 19:00: Cartel Land. In Mexico, citizens take up arms to fight drug crime. Anthropologist dr. Martijn Oosterbaan discusses the precarious line between good and evil.
