Meet, connect, and share during the Sharing Days!
The Sharing Days will take place from 5-10 June. The Sharing Days is a week full of special activities held in inspiring places, during which we share what is happening and possible at the University.
The Sharing Days are all about meeting, connecting and sharing. During the Sharing Days, we will also focus on increasing the Emergency Fund, which helps students in urgent need. Working on a better world for tomorrow is not done alone; we greatly need the university community to accomplish that!
Some highlights from the programme
You are welcome at all the events but we like to draw your special attention to three activities especially for students.
Tuesday, June 6: Milou Deelen on slutshaming, gender and writing
Milou Deelen (1995) went viral when during her student days she spoke out against slutshaming at her student union Vindicat. By now she is considered one of the new generation of feminists. She has written several books and articles. Especially for students, Utrecht Union organizes an interview with Milou about being a writer, and about her views on feminism and sexism. Afterwards the bar will be open for drinks.
Wednesday, June 7: Bring Your Own Outdoor Cinema
Enjoy the movie "The Worst Person in the World" under the stars on the UCU campus. A romantic comedy-drama film directed by Joachiem Trier. The film is in Norwegian, with English subtitles. Bring your own favo snacks and drinks, a cosy blanket or comfortable bean bag, sit back and enjoy this outdoor cinema experience! Watch the trailer.
Thursday, June 8: Collegetour with Alumnus of the Year Eva González Pérez
Eva is a lawyer and alumnus from our university. She played a key role in bringing about the wrongdoings in the Toeslagenaffaire. Driven by a sense of justice and thanks to her great perseverance, she uncovers structural problems at the Dutch Belastingdienst.
During this year's Dies, Eva was named alumnus of the year 2023. The interview/collegetour will be in Dutch and will take place at the Senaatszaal Academiegebouw in Utrecht.
