LEG Societal Impact Award 2025

It has become a cherished tradition: the LEG Societal Impact Award . Each year, the faculty highlights impactful initiatives and projects that connect academic research and education with society.
Until Friday, 5 December, you can once again nominate candidates for the Impact Awards for student, staff member, and alumnus. The winners will be announced during the LEG New Year’s Meeting on Monday, 12 January 2026.
Eligibility
In order to achieve the award, a student, staff member or alumnus must have led a societal project or delivered a high-impact societal performance – individually or as a team – in the past academic year. A link with the faculty’s teaching or research activities is a prerequisite.
How to submit your proposal
You can send your nominations to: miprijsrebo@uu.nl. Please indicate whether your proposal refers to a student or staff nomination.
Awards
The awards consist of €1,000 prize money (to be used within the framework of the impact projects) and will be handed out during the faculty’s New Year’s get-together.
