Join the COVID challenge

COVID challenge TU/e, WUR, UU and UMCU

When do restrictive corona measures cause more harm than good? What could be an acceptable disease burden? And how can we diminish the odds of infection for those who are most affected by the lockdown?

In the Covid Challenge, students will help create solutions for the municipality Utrecht that fit within the national corona restrictions, work against the corona virus, and have less impact on our daily lives! The proposed solutions can combine medical, technical, political, behavioural, economic and sustainability disciplines. The challenge is open for registration until 21 March 2021.

This 3.5 EC elective course will run from 19 April to 11 June 2021. The course is open for participation to third year bachelor and all master students from all academic and scientific backgrounds. Students will work in multi-disciplinary teams with students from TU/e, WUR, UU and UMCU. Finding a solution for this real-life challenge requires creative co-creation. They will be supported through the process by a coach and workshops/ seminars by content experts. The challenge is completed with the presentation of the concepts that the teams have developed.
