Invitation Study Abroad weeks 4-15 October 2021

The Utrecht University International Offices will host the Study Abroad weeks from October 4th - 15th. During these two weeks, you are invited to attend several informative sessions on our international exchange programmes for the academic year of 2022-2023.

The information session for the Faculty of Geosciences will take place on 12 October 2021 at 14.00 hours in Teams. There will be exchange students from partner university and (former) Geosciences students will tell about their exchange experience. The International Office will inform you about the procedure, requirements and application. Look for the programme and the Teams link here.

What is an exchange programme?

When participating in an exchange programme, you spend a semester or full academic year abroad studying at one of the partner universities with which Utrecht University has an exchange agreement. The courses you take abroad count towards your Utrecht University degree programme.

What about COVID-19?

Utrecht University considers it important to offer students the possibility to participate in exchange programmes and to acquire international experience. Unfortunately, several of this year’s exchange programmes have been cancelled due to COVID-19. We hope for a lesser impact of the pandemic on the exchange programmes of 2022-2023, but unfortunately this is impossible to predict. Despite all the uncertainties, we would like to inform you all about the possibilities of the exchange programme.

Interested? Participate in the Study Abroad weeks!

Throughout the Study Abroad weeks we will host several informative (online) sessions and workshops. They aim to provide you with more detailed information about exchange programmes and application procedures, and advice on how to choose a destination, among other things.

Each faculty organises (online) information sessions for its own students. These session(s) are designed especially to inform you about the options within the faculty of Geosciences.

In addition to these session, there are university-wide sessions, open to all students. The full Study Abroad weeks programme and information on how to sign-up be found on the website.

Watch later?

Are you unable to attend a session but would like to watch it later? Some session will be recorded. The recordings will be on posted on this website.

We hope to see you during the Study Abroad weeks! Good luck and have fun with the initial preparations!
