Extra OSIRIS security: Configure 2FA before 4 May

As it is important to Utrecht University (UU) that your information is well protected, we are constantly working to improve data security.

As of 4 May, OSIRIS security will be expanded with 2FA

As of 4 May 2020, OSIRIS security will be expanded with two-factor-authentication (2FA). With 2FA, accessing your data will require an additional step: that makes it a double check, so twice as safe. You will find several videos on the information security website explaining what 2FA is and how to configure it, as well as a practical example of how to use 2FA. In order to be able to continue to log into OSIRIS, you must configure two-factor authentication before 4 May.

Configure 2FA before 4 May

Visit https://mysolisid.uu.nl (UU’s Solis-id portal) and log in with your Solis-id. There, you will find a step-by-step explanation of how to configure two-factor authentication.

Expect there to be more changes in the upcoming period. For example, student email accounts will migrate from UU Gmail to Microsoft Outlook as of August 2020. In addition, more IT services will be secured through 2FA. We will notify you in advance and send instructions if an IT service changes. Follow the developments via the website: https://students.uu.nl/security.
