On 11 December, all exams and lectures that were scheduled for that day, were cancelled.
Due to severe and dangerous weather conditions, the KNMI (the Dutch meteorological institute) had given a ‘code red’ for the 11th of December for the centre of the country. This prompted the Executive Board of Utrecht University to cancel all lectures and exams that were scheduled for the afternoon. Buildings started closing as from 15:00. At 17.00, all university buildings werel no longer accessible.
