What is the Descartes College?
The Descartes College is designed for Dutch-speaking students that have broad interests and would like to look beyond the borders of their discipline. Here, you'll be exposed to the perspectives of peers from all over Utrecht University. Descartes is a great place to learn, but it's also a place to find a community, as you'll be a member of a small group of passionate peers for two years. Here, you can share your interests in an environment that cares more about what you learn, than what grade you get.
The Descartes College is a two-year-long (30 EC) interdisciplinary and university-wide honours programme for motivated bachelor's students who are about to enter their second year. This programme can be taken on top of any other bachelor programme at Utrecht University.
