Celebrate the Holidays with the Parnassos Community
Looking for a festive way to wrap up the year? Join us at Parnassos on December 18 for a magical Christmas celebration filled with creativity, warmth, and good vibes!
Immerse yourself in the holiday spirit all day long, connect with new people or your friends in our cozy Cultural Café, and enjoy a program packed with Christmas music, inspiring workshops, a heartwarming film, holiday messages and delicious winter drinks. Everyone is welcome – after all, we’re a community! Drop by and let the holiday cheer embrace you.
Program overview
2:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Christmas Music and Sing-Along
Enjoy continuous Christmas music to set the perfect tone for our celebration! Lyrics will be displayed on a big screen, so feel free to sing along to your favorite holiday tunes. Whether you belt it out, hum softly, or simply savor the atmosphere with a warm drink in your hand, everyone is welcome to join in the fun.
2:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Parnassos Film & Your own Christmas wishes
Watch a beautiful film about Parnassos Cultural Center, created in collaboration with Media Productions UU, and discover the stories that have unfolded here. Will you spot yourself or someone you know in the video?
Throughout the afternoon, the Sing-Along tracks and the Parnassos film will be complemented by video Christmas messages from KOSMU, the Parnassos team, and maybe even you! Submit your own warm wishes to l.l.m.smit@uu.nl by December 16. Please send your message in video, landscape mode, HD format, and no longer than 30 seconds. Videos will only be shown in the bar, not online.
2:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Christmas card illustration workshop
Join this creative Christmas card illustration workshop led by art teacher Nastia Cistakova. Create your own unique Christmas card to take home or post it directly! Students can participate for free upon presentation of a valid student ID.
8:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Carols & Glühwein singing workshop
End the evening with a singing workshop led by Gonnie van Heugten, where we’ll sing the most beautiful Christmas carols together. To complete the wintry vibe, enjoy a glass of glühwein or hot chocolate! Students can participate for free upon presentation of a valid student ID.
