Bas Kraan wins UU Master Thesis Award 2025!

The award for the best master's thesis at Utrecht University in 2025 has been awarded to Bas Kraan, a student in the master's programme in Economic Policy at the Utrecht University School of Economics. This is a wonderful and well-deserved recognition for his thesis research – congratulations, Bas!

During the award ceremony at the Opening of the Academic Year, Bas delivered a clear message: ‘If you give people with disabilities a chance, they will repay you 100%.’ He emphasised the importance of an individual approach: people with disabilities are not a uniform group, but unique individuals with their own qualities – and deserve to be treated as such in the workplace.
