The contract with Blackboard can be extended by UU until the end of 2025 at the latest. Due to laws and regulations, we are obliged to tender contracts from a certain value onwards. In addition, there is a need within UU to take the next step in terms of LMS in terms of functionalities and user-friendliness, among other things.

Some of the students will experience the new LMS for the first time during the partial implementation in academic year 2024-2025. The majority of students will start using the new LMS at the beginning of the 2025-2026 academic year.
