Student Government and participation

On these pages you will find information concerning different representative advisory bodies: the Degree Programme Committee, Faculty Council and the University Council. Additionally, you can find information about  the evaluation questionnaires U.S.E. employs to improve our programmes.

Student Interest body

The Student Interest Body (StIB) is a body that consists of all members involved in student representation at U.S.E. In this committee we share one goal: “Improving education to the benefit of students”.

StIB consists of the following students:
  • 3 students from the Bachelor Degree Programme Committee
  • 1 student from the Pre-Master
  • 4 students from the Master Degree Programme Committee
  • 3 students from the Faculty Council
  • 1 student assessor from the U.S.E. Board
  • 1 student from the BUS and GBU

Degree programme committe

The Utrecht University School of Economics (U.S.E.) has separate Degree Programme Committees (DPC) for its Bachelor's and Master's programmes. The DPC, made up of students and lecturers, provides independent advice on education content, organization, and quality, and has the right to approve parts of the Education and Examination Regulations (EER, in Dutch OER).

Education Evaluation

Utrecht University School of Economics (U.S.E.) constantly strives to improve the quality of its teaching. To do so, we have a quality control system (Caracal) using course evaluations as well as an evaluation of the entire curriculum.
