Individual testing completion degree programme

Individual testing to complete the degree programme is a provision for students who only need to pass one more course to graduate (article 5.9 EER Bachelor's and article 5.10 EER Master's).

Conditions

  • You have completed all the courses in your programme, except one.
  • All your results are registered in Osiris.
  • You have fully completed the course for which you are making the request (in case of several sub-tests made at least 2 out of 3 tests).
  • You are demonstrably more than 3 months behind with your studies without this provision.
  • The provision is only granted once. Not passed? Then you retake the course at the next opportunity.

No provision is possible for:

  • Year 1 Level 1 courses (Bachelor's)
  • Graduation project (Bachelor's) or thesis (Master's)

How to submit a request?

  • In Osiris under ‘Cases’ →‘Request Board of Examiners’ you can fill out and submit the form ‘Individual testing completion degree programme’ when you meet all the conditions above.
  • Request submitted too early will not be considered.
  • In principle, the reasonable period of eight weeks under the General Administrative Law Act (in Dutch: Algemene wet bestuursrecht) applies for the decision period, but we will try to process your request as soon as possible.

What does the provision look like?

After approval of your request:

  • You will receive an email from the Board of Examiners (with the course coordinator in cc).
  • The course coordinator determines the test format.
  • The test:
    • counts 100% (replaces all previous marks);
    • can cover the entire subject matter;
    • is assessed with a grade of 1-10.
  • Are you entitled to a to a classroom and/or examination arrangement or accommodation due to a disability? Please reportthis to the coordinator on time.

When will the provision take place?

  • The course coordinator will agree a date and time with you shortly after approval.
  • The test usually takes place during a regular course period.
  • In summer, scheduling depends on the availability of the examiner(s).
  • The test may not coincide with a monthly selection or examination date.
    → Check these dates on the student website under “My study” > “Graduation”.
