Pre-Master's Programme

As a pre-Master’s student you follow a set of courses from the Bachelor’s programme Economics and Business Economics which prepares for one of our Master’s programmes. The exact courses you need to follow are attached to the e-mail with your acceptance letter.

Requirements for Master's Programme

You can only start the Master's Programme after passing all the courses listed in your letter of acceptance within one year (see Article 2.4 Education and Examination Regulations (EER) Master’s Degree Programmes). If your progress is insufficient, such as not passing the two Period 1 courses even after a re-take, or receiving multiple scores below 4.0, you may be excluded from the programme (see Article 2.4 of the EER).

Orientation Programme Pre-Master's 2026-2027

Your time at Utrecht will start with an orientation programme where you get to know your fellow students, campus and the programme.
