Deviating from your programme

If you want to deviate from the standard programme, you must ask permission from the examination board.

Question about exam requirements

Do you have a question about exam requirements? Please first take a look at the Education and Examination Regulation. For consultation on what is possible and allowed within your exam programme, please contact your tutor or study advisor.

Validity of grades

  • Final grades stay valid (in principle) forever. But if you passed a course more than five years ago, the Board of Examiners might ask you to take an extra or different test if your knowledge is no longer up to date. This only applies to final grades.
  • Partial grades (for courses you didn’t fully complete) are only valid during the academic year in which you earned them.

If, despite the aforementioned arrangement, you are going to encounter problems concerning the validity of your final grades, please contact the Board of Examiners. The complete text can be found in the Education and Examination Regulations (EER), art. 5.10.
