Exemption

Based on classes followed elsewhere it is possible to request an exemption for a course or for credits. 

Submit a request

You can submit an exemption request by sending an email to boardofexaminers.use@uu.nl. Your email must state which course(s) you are requesting exemption(s) for, together with the overlapping completed course(s) you are using for your request. Your request must be accompanied by an official transcript and course description(s) for the overlapping course(s).

The official rules and regulations concerning exemptions are listed in the EER of the Bachelor (art. 5.13).

Contact the Board of Examiners if you have any questions concerning your request or the decision of the Board. If you have questions about the (possible) consequences for your study planning, contact the Study Advisor.

If after contacting the Board of Examiners you still disagree with the decision, you can submit your notice of appeal within six weeks of the day on which the decision was announced. Read for more information: Complaints, objections and appeals, paragraph 'Objection and appeal'.
